Interlocking hand blown glass cells form this luminous column of light. PrePost developed the design for the lobby of Toren, a new residential tower in downtown Brooklyn, New York by the architects of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill for the developer, Myrtle Avenue Builders.

Pomegranate combines digital techniques in design, mold, and steel fabrication with the handcraft of blown glass and metal working to create a form that is both tactile and precise. The glass was blown by PrePost at Urban Glass in Brooklyn and assembled in PrePost's Brooklyn studio. Individual elements and the structural system of the work were tested and reviewed by PE David Bott. PrePost completed the installation of Pomegranate at Toren in March of 2010.
